Overview

Throne is proud to partner with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. From October 2025 through January 2026, we’re donating 5% of gross sales to support research, advocacy, and care for the 3 million Americans living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

Partnering with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation

At Throne, we’re building the world’s first continuous gut health monitor. From the start, this has been a purpose-driven product about improving lives, especially for those whose gut health challenges too often go unseen.

That’s why from October 2025 through January 2026, we’ll be donating 5% of gross sales from our pre-sales and launch campaign directly to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.

Understanding IBD

Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are chronic, autoimmune conditions known together as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). They affect more than 3 million Americans, disrupting daily life with symptoms like abdominal pain, diarrhea, and fatigue. The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is the nation’s leading nonprofit focused on research, patient support, and advocacy for people living with IBD.

Our co-founder and Chief Product Officer, John Capodilupo, lives with Pancolitis—one of the most severe forms of ulcerative colitis . As both an IBD advocate and the co-founder of WHOOP, John brings a uniquely valuable perspective. His journey directly informs Throne’s product and vision from a place of deep empathy.

We’re also fortunate to work with researchers like Dr. David Rubin, Chief of Gastroenterology at the University of Chicago, and one of the world’s foremost IBD researchers, who serves as a Throne medical advisor. Partnering with leaders like Dr. Rubin helps not only to ensure that Throne is built on the strongest possible scientific foundation, but also positions Throne to advance science’s understanding of the human gut. With our real-world dataset, we’re on a path to help accelerate research into digestion, hydration, and inflammatory conditions in ways that haven’t been possible before.
